Welcome

I hold a Ph.D. from Temple University’s Mass Media and Communication Program and an M.A. in Media Studies from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communication. I am currently an Associate Professor and Chair at Plymouth State University’s Department of Communication and Media Studies in the Arts & Technology Cluster and Co-chair of the PSU Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies Program

I am interested in exploring the sociocultural implications of digital communication, social media, popular music culture, gender and communication, and qualitative research methods. My book Digital Connectivity and Music Culture – Artists & Accomplices (2017) is available from Palgrave MacMillan. You can also find my work in Rock Brands: Selling Sound in a Media Saturated Culture on Lexington Books and Consumer Identities: Agency, Media, and Digital Culture on Intellect Books. My current research, The Adolescentia Project, explores formative music experiences during adolescence. Please take a look around to learn about my research interests, teaching experiences, and other information!
